REGULATION OF THE COUNCIL AREA

AEROSPACE ENGINEERING


Article 1 - Study Area

1.1 Area of Engineering Education Aerospace refer the undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering (five years) from the old system, the degree in Aerospace Engineering (DM 509/2000 and DM. 270/2004) and degree courses (Ministerial Decree 509/2000) and Master (DM 270/2004) in Engineering Aeronautics and Space Engineering, Faculty of Engineering activated the University "La Sapienza".


Article 2 - Composition of the Council's Area

2.1 The Area Council of Aerospace Engineering consists of the following five components:

  • professors
  • researchers the same rights as permanent staff of DPR No 382/80 and Law 341/90 engaged in classroom teaching courses in art active set. 1, for any reason and following resolution of the Board
  • teachers who, by agreement, hold teaching courses related to assets defined in Art. 1
  • a representative of the non-teaching staff
  • representation of students enrolled in courses of study in art active set. 1, the extent of 15% of the components referred to in points.


Also participate in the Council Area, until the termination of teaching assignments, all charge stabilized.

2.2 The Disciplinary professors and researchers at the council is governed by Article 4, paragraph 4 of the Faculty Academic Regulations.

2.3 The representative of the non-teaching staff shall be elected according to a specific regulation to be issued by each Council Area within six months of its constitution according to the rules defined in art. 23 of the Statute of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and the Regulations of the Faculty.

2.4 The student representative is defined by the appointment to be made according to the rules defined by the Statute of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and the Regulations of the Faculty.

2.5 The composition of the Council Area, defined in the preceding paragraphs, shall be communicated to the Dean by October 31 of each academic year and is valid from November 1 of that year.

2.6 All members of the Council have a duty to participate in the meetings of this Council and have rights of speech, proposal and verbalization of all matters covered by the exceptions set out below.

The professors participating in the deliberations of the Council Area for all matters except those concerning the allocation of places and people of Professor professors.

Academic researchers participating in the deliberations of the Council Area with the exception of those relating to the allocation of places and lecturer and associate professor of professors and associated persons.

The contract professors participate in the deliberations of the Council Area of ​​belonging right to speak for all matters except those concerning the allocation of posts of professor role (ordinary, associate or researcher) and persons of full professors ( full, associate or researchers).

The representatives of teachers and students do not participate in the deliberations of the Council Area, except for those relating to issues concerning the places and people of professors, researchers and professors in the contract.


Article 3 - Powers of the Council's Area

3.1 The Council shall exercise all the powers of the area planned for the Degree Course Councils from DPR No And Law No 382/80 341/90.

3.2 The duties of the Council of Area:

  • coordination of teaching activities for the attainment of degrees and advanced degrees in art. 1
  • the adoption of the manifesto of the studies with the provision of educational activities needed to achieve the title consistent with the available resources
  • approval of the curriculum and its prerequisites
  • the timetabling of classes and final exams for the various courses and graduation
  • approval of educational activities outside Moenia and recognition of teaching or learning paths unexpended by students in various universities, including in relation to international agreements
  • the adoption of new teaching methods
  • the evaluation of teaching
  • permission to the teachers conducting educational activities off-site
  • authorization to the interruption of the teachers' teaching to perform other activities off-site
  • approval of plans of study for students
  • evaluation of applications for students.


3.3 The Council's Area proposals and opinions to the Faculty Council in order to:

  • statutory changes and the academic regulations of the Faculty
  • requests for equipment and staff, faculty and staff, including contracts with the demands of teaching and tutoring in order to organize the activities of teaching
  • activation and deactivation of disciplines
  • teaching projects and educational organization of the Faculty.


3.4 The Council's Area contributes to the organization and implementation of guidance and mentorship organized by the Faculty.

3.5 The Area Council deliberates on matters delegated to him by the Faculty Council.


Article 4 - Election of President

4.1 The Chairman of the Area shall be elected by secret ballot among the professors and remains in office for three academic years. It can not be elected for more than two consecutive terms.

4.2 The election, in which all the members of the Council's Area defined in Article 2 above, is an absolute majority of those present on the first call and a relative majority in the next meeting, it shall be convened by the professor of the Council of 'area and the most senior level, with the same degree, the eldest (Dean) at least thirty days before the expiry of the mandate.

4.3 In the first implementation of the elections of President are held by the Dean within 30 days of approval of this regulation by the Faculty Council.


Article 5 - Duties of the President

5.1 The Chairman of the Area oversees and coordinates the activities of the degree course, including:

  • represents the Council's Area at the other organs of the Faculty
  • convene the Council Area. in the manner set out in Articles 8 and 9, preparing the agenda of the meetings, directs and moderates the discussion and ensures adherence to the Rules
  • shall implement the resolutions, monitors compliance with the resolution of the Council of Area and provides for the preparation of the minutes, taking care of forwarding to the competent academic bodies
  • coordinates operations for the organization and management exams and graduation
  • Commissions appointment of exams and graduation, and in the general framework defined by the Manifesto of the annual study area and the Regulations, in charge of organizing the sessions and their advertising Degree
  • coordinates all other activities relating to the management of the school career of students and the recovery of the status of student.


5.2 In this activity, the President is assisted by a Secretary and possibly by a council of the Presidency, as clarified in the next 6 Art.

5.3 The Secretary is the youngest in the role of professors belonging to the Council Area; the same length in a role is the youngest.

5.4 In case of absence or impediment, the President is replaced by the Dean of the Council Area.


Article 6 - Fees and Board of Presidency

6.1 The Area Council may act on the President's commission and the establishment of an Executive Presidency with specific tasks. The Committees and the Board shall prepare proposals for decisions on issues relating to subjects covered by the Area Council and may have deliberative powers on specific topics identified by the Council, the Committees are elected by the Council, who will appoint the coordinator, the number and category of members, the Board is appointed by the President.

6.2 The President is a member of all committees with powers deliberating.

6.3 The President and the Secretary have invited members of all committees.


7 - Convening of the Council's Area

7.1 The Area Council is convened by the President in ordinary session at least three times a year. The extraordinary sessions may be held to deal with events that are predictable and which require urgent solutions, particularly, a special session may also be requested at least a fifth of the directors who make reasoned request to the President.

7.2 For reasons of aIl'O. D.G. sessions can be scheduled update.

7.3 The ordinary meeting of the Board for meetings must be made by notice in writing or by e-mail at least five days before the meeting with details of the agenda, except in cases of urgency, should follow the guarantees provided by the rules on the convening of the governing bodies. The convocation of extraordinary sessions for Councillors must be made by notice in writing or by e-mail at least two days before the meeting with details of the agenda.


Article 8 - Validity of meetings and voting in the Council's Area

8.1 For the validity of the meetings of the Council is necessary that all those who have the power to intervene, with or without voting rights, has been regularly summoned.

8.2 The meetings and votes are valid when the majority of those present and entitled to vote on the subject under discussion, and if, after thirty minutes of the time fixed for the opening of the session, this majority is not reached, the session will be postponed and convened at a later date.

8.3 In the calculation to determine the majority of this article does not take into account the Directors who have justified their absence, while taking into account the role of teachers out, the representative of the non-teaching staff and student representatives only if they are present.

8.4 The meetings are also valid if the representations defined in Article 2, paragraph 1 shall not be made.


Article 9 - Transitional and Final Provisions

9.1 For all other rules not covered in this regulation and in particular for the regulation of meetings and voting is the regulation adopted by the Faculty Council.
